MCAS Expands Coaching Staff!

We are thrilled to welcome two new assistant coaches to our team this year: Xin Shi and Nell Williamson Shaffer.

13518710_161nXin (pronounced “Sheeng”) is a former member of the Chinese National Synchronized Swimming team, and spent many years competing in Combo, Team and Solo at the International level. Among many honors, she won a silver medal at the 2009 World Aquatics Championships, 2 silver medals at the 2010 FINA Synchronized Swimming World Cup, and a gold medal at the 2010 Asian Games.

Here is an amazing video of Xin performing at the 2010 World Cup:

Xin lives in Madison with her husband Runqiang (“Scott” – an assistant swimming coach with the Moho Gators) and her newborn daughter.  We are incredibly excited to have the opportunity to work with someone of Xin’s caliber.  Not to mention that she is a really awesome person!

It’s going to be a great year!
